Magazine Design | PIVOT
Overview: Sacramento Quarterly publication called “Pivot” that highlights a different subject every quarter. The subject discussed in the current issue is Design. Taking into account that Sacramento is growing rapidly, we really wanted to highlight the best Design throughout Sacramento and highlight companies and designers that embody this rejuvenation and youth.
Solution: Being that this was a group project with fellow designers Michael Fortunato, Dane Gonzales and Ray Burgess, we were all in charge of gathering interviews, content and photography for the Magazine. The layout of the magazine was individual for each person in the group. Since the name of our magazine is Pivot I really wanted to highlight the “V” because of its triangular nature. Throughout the magazine you will see subtle hints to the “V”. Also, I went with a bold red orange color throughout the magazine because I really wanted to portray the vibrance of Sacramento. The magazine really pushed my layout skills and help me experiment and tell a different story throughout each article spread.
